Our Story

Setting the Standard in Physical Therapy Since 1985

In 1985, co-founder Bill Bolinger, a practicing Physical Therapist, grew frustrated with the high cost and low quality of home exercise devices available to his patients. So he built his own.

His Home Ranger® Shoulder Pulley became the best-selling home shoulder pulley on the market — a position it still holds today. Simple, effective, affordable, and completely portable, it changed what therapists could offer their patients at home.

Spurred by that success, Bill and co-founder Judy Johnston formally established PrePak Products in 1986. Every product since has been developed by therapists actively working in the field — no exceptions.

Today, PrePak is part of Boxout, combining nearly four decades of clinical expertise with a nationwide distribution network built for modern healthcare professionals.
